Le Mans 2025 brings back legends, Hypercar chaos and Aston Martin’s Valkyrie for a spectacular showdown with 186 drivers confirmed.
On June 14–15, the world’s most legendary endurance race returns for its 93rd running. The 24 Hours of Le Mans promises drama, speed, and global talent like never before.
This fourth round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship brings together elite manufacturers and top-tier drivers. On May 13, the official list of all 186 competitors was revealed.
Hypercar: A Battle for the Ages

The Hypercar class will feature 21 prototypes this year. With eight manufacturers in the fight, every team has a realistic shot at glory.
Last year, nine cars finished on the lead lap, a record. That number could easily be broken as the competition tightens across the board.
Fifteen drivers in this category are former Le Mans winners. Names like Earl Bamber, Sébastien Buemi, and Antonio Giovinazzi highlight a fiercely unpredictable showdown.
Icons Behind the Wheel

Every year, Le Mans draws legendary names. In 2025, F1 World Champion Jenson Button returns with Cadillac Hertz Team Jota, bringing pedigree and precision to the field.
Kevin Magnussen, with 185 Formula 1 starts, joins BMW M Team WRT in a major push for victory. His experience adds weight to the BMW challenge.
Nine-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi is also back, competing in LMGT3 for Team WRT. His presence continues to electrify fans and broaden the race’s appeal.
Aston Martin Returns in Style

Aston Martin returns to top-tier endurance racing with the Valkyrie, powered by a roaring V12. It’s a full-circle moment for a brand linked to Le Mans history since 1928.
In 1959, Aston Martin claimed victory with Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori in a DBR1. The team now eyes a modern comeback with Valkyrie cars #007 and #009.
It’s one of ten manufacturers on the grid that has previously won Le Mans — a sign of the deep expertise on display this year.
Five Women Line Up on the Grid

The Iron Dames return in 2025 with a new trio, racing a Porsche 911 GT3 R in LMGT3 under Manthey Racing. They’re aiming to improve on last year’s fourth-place finish.
Michelle Gatting and Rahel Frey are joined by newcomer Célia Martin, racing her first 24 Hours of Le Mans. Their drive always earns powerful support from the fans.
They’ll be joined by two other female racers: Lilou Wadoux, in a Ferrari 296 LMGT3 for Richard Mille AF Corse, and Jamie Chadwick, racing LMP2 with IDEC Sport.
LMGT3: Bigger, Bolder, Faster

LMGT3 sees explosive growth and talent this year. Mercedes-AMG joins the fray with three entries led by Iron Lynx, adding heat to an already competitive grid.
Five different manufacturers have claimed podiums in just two FIA WEC rounds this season. Now, nine marques — from Ferrari to McLaren — will go head-to-head in Le Mans.
With 24 cars entered, LMGT3 breaks its own record. Expect a mix of GT veterans like Richard Lietz and emerging stars such as Loek Hartog battling deep into the night.
LMP2: The Purest Racing on the Grid

The LMP2 class remains a fan favorite for close racing and fierce strategy. This year’s spotlight shines on André Lotterer, who joins IDEC Sport to prep for Genesis’ 2026 Hypercar debut.
Louis Delétraz, the 2024 Hyperpole winner, returns with the #199 AO by TF. Meanwhile, former Hypercar driver Renger van der Zande races for United Autosports in the #22.
Seventeen LMP2 cars are expected to go wheel-to-wheel, offering long hours of high-stakes drama from start to finish on June 14–15.
