Haas VF-24 Shines in Silverstone Shakedown Event

11/02/2024

In a significant pre-season event, Haas F1’s VF-24 debuted at Silverstone, driven by Nico Hulkenberg, signaling new leadership and a fresh start.

Just over a week after unveiling their livery and 3D renderings, Haas F1’s VF-24 hit the track for a shakedown at Silverstone.

Nico Hulkenberg was the driver tasked with the initial testing this Sunday at the site of the British Grand Prix, marking the beginning of a new era for the team following a winter managerial reshuffle.

Haas will enter the 2024 season with a new team principal, Ayao Komatsu, taking over from Gunther Steiner, and a new technical director, Andrea De Zordo, replacing Simone Resta.

The German driver completed the permitted 200 kilometers, according to Haas F1, which has only provided this photo (for now) and a video released this morning (available here). More details and photos may be shared later in the evening.

Following today’s testing, Haas F1 will have a second shakedown in Bahrain on February 19, ahead of the pre-season testing at the same Sakhir circuit starting on February 21, over three days.

Haas is not the only team to have taken to the track this weekend, with Stale F1 also running its C44 at the Circuit de Barcelona on Saturday. The team has only released the video below.
