Miami Sprint, Norris blames Hamilton for a crash at turn one, spotlighting racing tensions.

Lando Norris expressed frustration after being eliminated at the first corner of the Miami Sprint. The McLaren F1 driver attempted to maneuver around the outside of an incident involving the Aston Martins and Lewis Hamilton but was hit by the front left wheel of Lance Stroll.

“I’m not sure about the damage, but my rim was gone. I thought there was suspension damage, but I couldn’t continue, and the best thing to do was to pull over,” stated Norris, who clearly assigned blame for the incident. “It’s clear, Lewis dived on the inside and caused the incident; there was nothing I could do.”

Hamilton admitted his mistake at the first turn, with the Mercedes driver acknowledging that he braked too late and attempted the impossible. Nevertheless, he also felt that his rivals closed the line too quickly.

“What happened at turn 1 wasn’t intentional; everyone is pushing to the limit, I dove where there was a gap, and they went wide and cut across, that’s where we collided,” the seven-time world champion commented.
