Takuma Sato, a former F1 driver and current IndyCar competitor, has taken a new step in his career by becoming the Executive Advisor for Motorsport at Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). This new role strengthens his deep ties to Honda and underscores his influence in the world of motorsport.
Sato, who already oversees Honda’s Racing School—a program he once trained in himself—is now expanding his responsibilities to include all Honda’s four-wheeled motorsport initiatives. Known for his impressive career, highlighted by two Indy 500 wins, he will again participate in this iconic race with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Honda this year, further underscoring his continued dedication to racing.
Reflecting on his new position, Sato expressed his gratitude and determination: “Being named Executive Advisor at HRC is a huge honor. Honda has been by my side throughout my journey, supporting me as I pursued my dreams. Now, I have the chance to give back by sharing my experience with future generations, while staying committed to taking on new challenges with Honda and HRC.”
