Mercedes F1 Secures Lucrative Deal with Adidas

30/03/2024

In a significant shift, Mercedes F1 transitions from Tommy Hilfiger and Puma to a profitable partnership with Adidas, starting 2025.

Mercedes F1 will no longer have agreements with the clothing brand Tommy Hilfiger or with its equipment supplier Puma from next season, as a new brand is set to partner with the Brackley-based team.

While there were rumors that Adidas might become the title sponsor of Racing Bulls (now RB F1 Team) during the winter, the brand ultimately turned to Mercedes.

According to several consistent and verified sources, the German brand will market both leisurewear and racing suits for the team starting in 2025.

With this partnership, the team also marks the end of the Lewis Hamilton era, who was closely associated with both Tommy Hilfiger and Puma, the current equipment supplier.

The deal with Adidas is estimated to be more lucrative than the collaboration with Puma and Tommy Hilfiger, which brought in about six million euros for the team. Mercedes F1 could expect around ten million euros in revenue per year over the duration of the partnership (still unknown).

It’s also an excellent partnership for Adidas. Last week, it was announced that they would not supply the German national football team’s jersey for the first time in over 70 years.

The announcement is expected to take several months to become official, as we are still only at the beginning of the 2024 season.
