Mekies hails Racing Bulls’ momentum after Spain surge

Racing Bulls capitalised on a strong F1 triple-header, with Mekies praising consistent Grand Prix points and a rise to sixth in standings.

Racing Bulls scored points for the third consecutive time, marking a strong result for the triple-header that included Imola, Monaco, and Barcelona. Team Principal Laurent Mekies is impressed by the achievement.

Barcelona Boost for Bulls

“A very solid weekend in Barcelona. A big thank you to the trackside team and the factory. This wraps up the end of a triple-header, with three Q3 appearances and three points finishes for us—it’s a phenomenal success.”

“We’ve made significant progress compared to our last visit here in Spain, where we weren’t very fast. But this year, the car was competitive, and we were able to fight at the front of the midfield for most of the race; the late safety car disrupted things a little, but we still scored very good points.”

Isack delivered an incredible performance throughout the weekend, in Q3 on Saturday and again on track Sunday. Liam was stuck in traffic after a slightly slower qualifying, but he was fast, made some very good moves, and found a strong race rhythm.”

Racing Bulls Gaining Ground

Progress is clear and evident at Racing Bulls, and the Frenchman hopes to quickly build on it: “We started this triple-header in eighth place in the Constructors’ Championship and we’re finishing it in sixth.”

“This is just the beginning of the fight and there’s still a lot of work ahead, which we know. We’ll have two very competitive cars in Canada, but keeping our position will be tough. We’ll stay focused and keep pushing to stay in the fight for sixth place and continue challenging the big teams.”
