Exploring the Achievements and Impact of Mike Krack

Mike Krack, born on March 18, 1972, is a motorsports engineer from Luxembourg. His extensive career includes notable roles at BMW Sauber F1, where he served as the chief engineer, the Porsche WEC team, where he held the position of head of track engineering, and BMW, where he served as the Head of Engineering, Operations, and Organization for Racing and Testing. Krack has also gained experience in Formula 3 and DTM. Currently, he holds the position of Team Principal at the Aston Martin Formula One Team.

Krack embarked on his engineering career at BMW in July 1998, initially working as a test engineer. In 2001, he transitioned to Sauber, where he steadily progressed from a data analysis engineer to Felipe Massa’s race engineer. Eventually, he assumed the role of chief engineer when the team transitioned to BMW Sauber. During this period, he collaborated with a young Sebastian Vettel during practice sessions, leading up to Vettel’s debut in the 2007 United States Grand Prix. Krack parted ways with BMW when they shifted their focus to the 2009 season rather than Robert Kubica’s title challenge in 2008.
