Max Verstappen openly criticizes Zak Brown’s comments about Red Bull’s team dynamics.
Max Verstappen has criticized Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren F1, for claiming that Red Bull resumes are already circulating in Woking.
Brown predicted that Adrian Newey’s departure from Red Bull is the “first domino to fall” in their team and claims that some engineers have already applied elsewhere.
“Of course, Zak wants to stir the pot,” responded Verstappen when asked about fears of Red Bull collapsing.
“It’s probably part of the game, but I’m not interested in that. I saw the headline online, but I didn’t even click on it. Everyone is obviously attracted to our staff. That’s quite normal.”
“Of course, you never know what will happen in the future. Many agreements are in place within the team, but in the end, it’s important that everyone is happy with their work and feels appreciated.”
“There are many human aspects involved.”
Regarding Oliver Mintzlaff’s involvement, who has tackled Toto Wolff (read here), Verstappen says he welcomes it.
“I have a good relationship with Oliver. He is not always present at the races, but of course, he sees everything. And when he is here, like here in Miami, it’s natural that questions are asked about it.”
