Max Verstappen targets Monaco F1 glory as Red Bull tackles historic street circuit challenges with setup upgrades and qualifying-focused strategy.
Max Verstappen hopes that the progress Red Bull made in Imola will also translate into strong performances in Monaco this weekend. The four-time world champion is aware that the streets of Monte Carlo haven’t favored his team in recent years.
“It’s fantastic to start the triple-header with a win in Imola. We made a lot of progress, I felt much more comfortable in the car, and that puts us in a more positive position moving forward,” said Verstappen.
“We’ll need to keep pushing and not get ahead of ourselves, because Monaco will be a bit trickier, with it being a street circuit. It hasn’t been our best track in the past, but we’ve made a step forward with the setup and we’ll try to do our best.”
“Once again, qualifying is the key here and we’ll be relying on strategy. So it’s about getting a good result on Saturday and extracting the best possible performance from the car. It’ll also be nice to be close to home for this race, especially with such a busy and hectic weekend ahead!”
Tsunoda vows to rebound strong after Imola crash
Yuki Tsunoda seeks redemption in Monaco GP after Emilia-Romagna crash, aiming for focus, patience, and key points for Red Bull team.
Yuki Tsunoda wants to learn from the massive crash he suffered in Emilia-Romagna, and aims to live up to his team’s expectations in the Principality: “Some parts of last weekend are best left behind in Imola, but there are also positives to take away, and those gave me a boost heading into Monaco.”
“I made a stupid mistake in qualifying, so I need to learn patience and understand that the results will come to me. The car behaved well throughout the weekend and I know it’s capable of performing. Going from the pit lane to tenth place felt good, but in Monaco, I want to move much further up the grid.”
“That’s the goal this weekend—maintaining the focus that both this circuit and the RB21 demand for success. Monaco is a crazy week, Red Bull shows up like no other team does in Monte Carlo, and I want to make the kind of impact I know we’re capable of on track.”
