Alpine F1 enhances its lineup with key new hires at Enstone, introducing a trio poised to invigorate the team.

Alpine F1 Continues to Strengthen Technical Team with a Plethora of New Hires, Including Three Senior Executives from Rivals Red Bull and Ferrari

Michael Broadhurst and Vin Dhanani return to Enstone as Chief Aerodynamicist and Head of Vehicle Performance respectively, while Jacopo Fantoni takes on the role of Deputy Chief Engineer.

We announced Broadhurst’s recruitment on May 11 (read here), who had previously spent seven years at Enstone earlier in his career. He was Principal Aerodynamicist at Red Bull during a period when the team clinched two Constructors’ titles and had earlier worked at McLaren as Deputy Director of Aerodynamics.

Dhanani joins the team after seven years at Red Bull, most recently as Head of Vehicle Performance. Before that, he spent around five years at Sauber and about the same time at Enstone when the team was known as Lotus.

Fantoni is on gardening leave following his departure from Ferrari, where he spent 13 years – most recently as Head of Simulation in the engineering office alongside David Sanchez, who has since joined Alpine F1 as Executive Technical Director.

The trio started work at Enstone on July 1st and are integrating into Alpine’s three-pillar technical structure, centered on aerodynamics, performance, and engineering.

Broadhurst will report to David Wheater, Dhanani to Ciaron Pilbeam, and Fantoni to Joe Burnell – with Sanchez overseeing as General Technical Manager.
