Unpredictable weather looms over Melbourne as rain threatens to disrupt the Australian GP, setting the stage for a thrilling season opener.

This year, things are kicking off with a bit of a twist. While the first two days of track action at Albert Park should be warm and sunny, the weather might throw a curveball on Sunday. Wind and rain could add an extra challenge for the 10 teams and 20 drivers.
That said, while rain is in the mix, it’s not expected to be heavy enough to disrupt the start time of the race. Let’s break it down day by day.

Weather: Bright and sunny with a few wispy clouds at times. Light to moderate southerly breeze.

- Low: 18°C

SUNDAY 16 MARCH – RACE DAY
Weather: Big chance of rain from midday onwards, with a weather front expected to move in during the afternoon. Anywhere from 3 to 10 mm of rain is forecasted. Winds shifting to the southwest, with gusts of up to 50 km/h. Cooler conditions overall.
