The employee who made allegations of inappropriate behavior against Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner, has been suspended!
Several sources in Britain confirm the news today, including The Times, The Telegraph, and the BBC, despite Red Bull’s denial yesterday. The reason for her suspension is related to the findings of the independent investigation, which cleared Horner last week. Red Bull has declined to comment on this internal matter.
The investigation’s results have not been made public, not even to the highest officials of Formula 1, despite calls for transparency from leading team directors. Red Bull GmbH stated that this was due to the investigation being “confidential and containing private information of the individuals and third parties involved”.
The complainant retained the right to appeal within five days of receiving the official written confirmation that the complaint had been dismissed. It is unknown whether she has done so.
Horner has consistently denied these allegations and is present in the Jeddah paddock for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
So far, the employee has continued to work normally from the Red Bull base in Milton Keynes.
Horner is expected to address the media in Jeddah on Thursday afternoon during the FIA press conference.
