Starting in Miami, HP will become the title sponsor of Scuderia Ferrari, renaming the team Scuderia Ferrari HP.
As we reported yesterday, Ferrari has signed a multi-year contract with HP, which becomes the title sponsor of the Scuderia. The team will be called Scuderia Ferrari HP, thanks to the contribution of the computing giant Hewlett-Packard.
The agreement is effective immediately, and HP’s blue logos will be visible from the Miami Grand Prix, where the team will sport a livery in blue. According to Sport Business, which revealed the information yesterday, the contract is financially similar to that which links Red Bull to Oracle.
For the latter, Oracle contributes about 50 million dollars a year to Red Bull Racing, and it is therefore likely that HP will pay the same sum to secure a prominent place alongside the Ferrari name, and on the car bodies and suits.
This is the first title sponsor for Ferrari since 2021, when the team was still called Mission Winnow Scuderia Ferrari, named after the initiative of the Philip Morris group. Although the tobacco giant has stepped back from the cars and equipment, it is said that it facilitated this agreement.
