Alpine F1 Team Dismisses Rumors of Renault Selling

Alpine F1 firmly dismisses sale rumors as false, despite a challenging 2024 season start and speculation.

Alpine F1 has refuted “false information” suggesting Renault is considering selling the Enstone-based F1 team.

A British website (Motorsport) reported this Wednesday that parent company Renault might entertain sale offers for the F1 team “provided any new owner continues to use the Renault engine in the foreseeable future.”

However, in a statement to the media, Alpine dismissed the notions of a potential sale.

“Rumors and stories that the team is for sale are untrue,” stated a team spokesperson. “The team is categorically not for sale.”

Alpine has had a lackluster start to the 2024 F1 season, appearing to be firmly in the 10th and last place in the constructors’ championship, having failed to score a single point so far.

This has fueled speculation about a future sale in recent days, but these have now been firmly denied.
