Oliver Bearman praises Ayao Komatsu for his significant positive influence and trust at Haas F1 Team.
During the British Grand Prix, Oliver Bearman inked a deal with Haas F1.
The American team is enjoying an encouraging 2024 season, frequently emerging victorious in the midfield battle.
Bearman is effusive in his praise for team director Ayao Komatsu, who has chosen to place his trust in him for 2025.
Komatsu had previously lavished praise on the British driver, a young talent from Ferrari, who has already participated in numerous free practice sessions for Haas F1.
“I’ve always gotten along very well with Ayao. And when the news came that he was going to become the team director, I was, of course, very pleased because he works very hard and you can see that he has had a truly positive impact on the team.”
“I’m really excited to start working more closely with him because doing free practice sessions doesn’t mean much. In any case, he really influenced me to take on this role.”
According to Bearman, Komatsu has really helped the team make progress in 2024.
“I’m really encouraged by the recent performances; they’ve been very good in the last two races before Spa, and the trajectory the team is on right now is really positive. I think, as I said, that Ayao has really brought a certain motivation to the team, and when you score good points, the motivation really builds and everything snowballs.”
The Briton is unsure how his winter and the upcoming season will unfold.
“There’s nothing written or said, honestly, we’re still at the very beginning, we’re on summer holidays, so I think we’ll talk about it when we know a bit about how next year will pan out with the car and everything, it’s a preparation that will take a few months anyway.”
