James Vowles confirms Williams will retain Logan Sargeant, though he might pursue opportunities beyond the team.
James Vowles, Williams F1 Team Principal, said Logan Sargeant had improved his performance this season, despite the team’s decision to replace him.
Williams announced last Monday that Carlos Sainz would replace Sargeant in their lineup next year. However, Vowles stated their outgoing driver had raised his game in recent races.
“Logan is part of the Williams Academy, he’s one of the top 20 drivers in the world on the Formula 1 grid, and over the last few races, I hope you can see the progress he’s made with the team.”

“You all know the qualifying statistics. But if I also show you where he was at Budapest and Silverstone before that, you can see that it’s good progress.”
Vowles also denounced rumors spread by Marcus Ericsson alleging a breakdown in communication between the director and his driver.
“There are strange stories going around. Logan and I talk – I won’t say daily, but certainly daily over a race weekend, and beyond that several times a week. My job is to do my best for him because in the end, if we score points, we
