Haas F1 Team Confirms Extension of Long-standing Technical Partnership with Scuderia Ferrari

The new agreement means the American team will continue using Ferrari engines until the end of the 2028 Formula 1 World Championship season.

With new engine regulations coming in 2026, the extended agreement between Haas F1 Team and Scuderia Ferrari ensures long-term engine stability for the Kannapolis-based team. The relationship between the two organizations dates back to the inception of Haas F1 Team in Formula 1 in 2016, totaling 178 Grand Prix together.

The 2026 regulations for 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 internal combustion hybrid engines will be redesigned. Hybrid components will provide more power to enhance durability, while the internal combustion engines will also operate for the first time with fully sustainable fuels.

“I am thrilled to extend our relationship with Scuderia Ferrari until 2028,” commented Ayao Komatsu, Director of Haas F1 Team.

“As an organization, we have only ever raced with Ferrari engines and having this continuity as we approach the next series of engine regulations is a key component of our ongoing development.”

“Our relationship with Scuderia Ferrari has always been special to us—they have been a pivotal part of the program’s genesis from the early days and have continued to be a valuable technical partner for us throughout the past nine seasons.”

“I am delighted that we now have more seasons ahead of us and I thank Fred Vasseur and many other members of Scuderia Ferrari for continuing to trust in our project.”

“This announcement is just another example of Haas F1 Team’s long-term ambition—our investment and growth in the sport continue.”
