Max Verstappen’s father critiques the team’s management once again.
According to Jos, father of Max Verstappen, Red Bull’s dominance in Formula 1 “is over.”
Verstappen senior has been absent from the paddock since the internal power struggle within the team, marked by the Christian Horner scandal, began.
Jos, 52, openly predicted that if Horner remained as team principal – which he did – Red Bull would gradually collapse.
In Monaco, Jos was present in the Red Bull garage for the first time in months, admitting that his prediction of the team’s decline might now be coming true.

“There will certainly be races where Red Bull will look great again. But I am curious to see how they will solve this problem. Something needs to be done at Red Bull.”
“They need to find out where the problems are coming from. It is clear that McLaren and Ferrari are getting closer.”
“Max has managed to mask it somewhat, but you can see how big the gap was between him and his teammate. It seems to me that Red Bull’s dominant period is over.”
Verstappen senior admits he sees a connection between the team’s recent performance struggles and the internal conflict, which has so far led to Adrian Newey’s departure.
“They may need to focus a bit more on the racing and on mutual communication, rather than other things…”
Horner, however, has remained impervious to the criticism, stating that performance and off-track “noise” are entirely separate.
“The big lesson I’ve learned is that when I walk into the garage, everything is normal. This is also reflected in the results, which have been overall very good in this first part of the season. The noise comes from the outside.”
