Zak Brown, born on November 7, 1971, in Los Angeles, is an American businessman, former professional racing driver, and sports executive based in London, United Kingdom.

Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Racing, Brown has a noteworthy background as the founder and CEO of Just Marketing International (JMI), the world’s largest marketing agency in the realm of motorsports.

Founded in 1995, JMI became a part of CSM Sport & Entertainment in 2013 after its acquisition by the British company Chime Communications Limited.

Trailblazing Sports Marketer: Awards and Recognitions

Brown’s achievements as a sports marketing specialist have garnered widespread recognition. He has been repeatedly honored, receiving the prestigious “Marketer of the Year” award from Promo Magazine.

Moreover, he secured a place four times in the INC 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies of the Year, underscoring his notable contributions to the business world.

Zak Brown entered the Sports Business Journal’s Hall of Fame under 40, receiving the accolade three times.

Revolutionizing Racing: United Autosports and Historic Division

In 2009, Zak Brown, alongside former British racing driver Richard Dean, founded the United Autosports racing team. The team actively participates in events worldwide, including the Macau GT Cup, the 24 Hours of Spa, the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi, and the 12 Hours of Bathurst in Australia.

United Autosports’ historical division specializes in preparing and managing historic race cars. This division caters to Zak Brown’s collection, as well as serving clients.

On November 21, 2016, Zak Brown assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at McLaren Racing, succeeding Ron Dennis. In this capacity, Brown reports directly to the group’s executive committee.

In 2010, Brown, alongside American driver Bobby Rahal, launched a historic racing series. Their mission involves owning, managing, and organizing top-quality historic racing events at North American venues. The annual events take place at Barber Motorsports Park, Circuit Mont-Tremblant, and Sebring.
