Dunne clinched his second win of the season in Imola, overtaking rivals through strategy, pace, and precision during a chaotic Feature Race.
After Friday’s session ended early due to a red flag, Beganovic starts on pole for the Feature Race. Montoya is alongside, but his PREMA stalls before the formation lap.
Montoya must start from the pits. At lights out, Martins—third on the grid—also fails to launch. He’s pushed to the pit lane, while Beganovic keeps the lead ahead of Fornaroli and Lindblad.
Lindblad can’t find a way past Fornaroli. When the pit window opens, the top four stop for soft tyres. Dunne overtakes Lindblad in the pits. On the next lap, Browning jumps Crawford with his stop.
Browning exits ahead of Beganovic, but his tyres are still cold. They go side by side into Turn 7. Beganovic runs wide, allowing Dunne to snatch second. He then overtakes Browning for the lead.
Approaching halfway, the safety car is deployed—Villagomez is stranded after contact with Meguetounif. Dürksen leads ahead of Marti and Stanek, though none of them have completed their mandatory stop.
At the restart, Dürksen keeps the lead. Dunne wastes no time and overtakes Esterson and Cordeel—both still on old tyres. Browning gets stuck behind Cordeel for several laps, losing valuable time.
Dunne continues climbing the order. He passes Miyata, then clears Stanek, Marti, and Dürksen. He retakes the lead from drivers yet to pit. Three cars now separate him from Browning.
As expected, the last drivers change tyres late in the race. However, the earlier safety car has already compromised their strategy. Dunne has built a gap and remains unchallenged at the front.
Dunne takes victory in the Imola Feature Race. The Hitech pair, Browning and Beganovic, complete the podium. Lindblad finishes fourth ahead of Fornaroli, with Crawford in sixth.
Goethe claims seventh place. Montoya recovers to finish eighth. The top ten is completed by Verschoor in ninth and Meguetounif in tenth after a consistent drive.
