Guanyu Zhou is reportedly in talks for a 2025 Ferrari reserve driver role, marking a potential return to familiar territory.
Guanyu Zhou is expected to stay in F1 with a reserve driver contract, but with a rather unexpected team, as the Chinese driver could land at none other than Ferrari.
Thanks to his strong sponsorship backing and marketing appeal, Zhou has been able to negotiate with several teams showing genuine interest in his services.
The Chinese driver, who debuted in 2022, will not race in F1 next season, as Stake F1 has opted for a completely new lineup featuring Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, a year before its transition to the Audi works team.
Ferrari remains one of Zhou’s possible destinations. However, according to our information, nothing has been finalized or signed yet.
Zhou is no stranger to the Scuderia, having been a member of the Italian team’s driver academy from 2014 to 2018, before joining Renault’s junior program the following year.
