Williams F1 is heading into the Australian Grand Prix with confidence, as Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz look to shake things up in Melbourne.

Albon, eager to hit the track, is curious to see what the FW47 can deliver. He’s also feeling good about the team’s energy, both on and off the circuit.

“The first race is finally here! It’s always amazing to be back in Melbourne—the atmosphere is electric, and the support from Asia is huge,” said the Thai driver.

Williams has had a busy off-season, marked by the announcement of Atlassian as its new title sponsor and plenty of preparation for the season ahead.

“Pre-season testing in Bahrain was solid—we learned a lot about the car. Carlos and I highlighted areas to improve, and the whole team has been working hard behind the scenes to make those changes.”

“We’re in a much better place than last year, and I can’t wait to see how we stack up against the competition.”

For Sainz, this will be his first race in Williams colours, and he’s ready for the challenge. He knows the hard work put in by the team and is keen to see the results on track.

“Just like that, winter testing is done, and we’re back in Melbourne for the season opener,” said the Spaniard.

“It’s been a busy few months getting up to speed with Williams and learning about the car. We left testing with a good feeling, but you never really know where you stand until race weekend.”

“A huge thanks to the whole team for their effort in getting the car ready. Now it’s time to hit the track and start strong. Vamos!”

Williams is in a much stronger position than last year, and with Albon and Sainz behind the wheel, they’ll be looking to make their mark in Australia.

Williams F1 arrives in Melbourne stronger than before, with Albon and Sainz ready to challenge expectations in the Australian Grand Prix.
