Max Verstappen underscores his unwavering loyalty to Red Bull, firmly, strongly insisting he lacks any interest in ever pursuing championship success elsewhere.
Despite its difficulties and problems, Red Bull Racing is still like “a second family” to Max Verstappen.
The four-time world champion, who admitted having flirted with Mercedes F1 over the summer, explains why it’s not so easy to decide to switch teams when things have been on a downward slope in recent months.
“I’ve been part of Red Bull practically since the beginning, and it’s a place where I’ve really built a great relationship with everyone.
“Of course, we go through tough times as well as good times—fortunately more good times than bad—but it’s almost like a second family, and that’s what makes teamwork really enjoyable.
“I think what really worked for me is that I was able to be myself. I could truly feel at home. And I think that when you feel very comfortable in a team environment, you can also really bring out the best in yourself.
“Also, it’s not as if I need to try to win the world championship somewhere else. That’s not a desire of mine. I’m simply happy where I am.
“It would also be very nice if we could just stay with one team and race there forever. I’d like to believe that. That’s the goal.”
