Vasseur Applauds Ferrari’s Reaction Under Pressure

Ferrari’s Resilience: Vasseur Hails Key Mid-Season Turn

13/12/2024

Ferrari’s ability to bounce back during tough moments showcases resilience, with Vasseur praising the team’s crucial mid-season responsiveness.

Ferrari’s director, Fred Vasseur, believes the progress shown by the Scuderia mid-season, during challenging races, reflects a significant step forward in its organization and operational capabilities.

“I think it’s about the fact that we improved and were able to respond in difficult moments,” Vasseur stated. “Having good team momentum and achieving strong results is one thing.”

“But reacting when you’re in trouble, as we were in Spain and Austria, is very important for the future of the team. This kind of reaction is what we’re building for the future, this trust we can have in each other, and I think it’s the most important step of the season.”

Asked about the priorities to bring Ferrari back to the top, Vasseur avoided narrowing it down to a single factor: “I don’t know, because I think it would be a mistake to think there’s just one thing. If you want to do a good job, you have to focus on every pillar of performance, on every area.”

“It applies to every part of the car, but I don’t want to start listing things, because if I do, I don’t want to single out any particular group. I think in every area and every department of the team, we simply need to do a better job.”

“This isn’t a criticism, it’s just that the team’s mindset has to be about coming in every morning and trying to do better than the day before, improving what we do by fractions of a second. But that mindset is universal in the sport, and if we don’t have it, we’re finished.”

“I’ll keep pushing. I’ll keep motivating everyone to be the first to believe they all contribute to performance at every level. In every area, we have to do better than in 2024.”
