Unused Red Bull Livery Unveiled Before Season's End

Galway Show Highlights Canceled Red Bull Austin Livery

19/11/2024

Red Bull unveils its unused tribute livery as the team sets sights on Las Vegas, marking a pivotal moment in the season.

Red Bull showcased in Galway the special livery originally planned for Austin. The reigning world champions canceled two of the three special liveries scheduled for this season to reduce the decoration’s weight on the car’s bodywork and enhance performance.

Following the red-themed Silverstone livery and the zebra-striped design unseen in Singapore, a tribute livery inspired by Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel era was intended to debut in Austin.

Ultimately, it was displayed only on a demonstration car driven by David Coulthard, as Red Bull Racing shifted focus entirely to the final three races of the 2024 season.

After a ten-race winless streak, Max Verstappen reclaimed the top step of the podium in Brazil with an exceptional performance in the rain. The triple world champion aims to end the season on a high note, potentially securing his fourth world title in Las Vegas.

“Brazil was an incredible race for us and a truly special moment for me and the team. The team did an outstanding job, and we hope to keep this momentum going into the upcoming races,” Verstappen said.

“Of course, Vegas marks the start of the final triple-header of the year, so it’s the home stretch for everyone. We performed well here last year, and it’s a very fast circuit with long straights and plenty of overtaking opportunities.”

“Once again, temperatures seem quite low, so tire management will be key. We take each race as it comes and look forward to the final races of the season.”

Sergio Pérez knows his future is on the line, and the Mexican driver is eager to deliver strong performances starting this weekend to close the year on a high note: “We’re heading into a very important weekend for the team in Las Vegas. Last year, this race was such an unknown—it was a completely new event, with a brand-new surface for all of us.”

“We were also racing in temperatures we’re not usually accustomed to. In 2023, we had almost no data, so this year we approach the circuit with much more information and understanding.”

“For me, it’s a track I enjoy; I love the street circuit experience, with the tight walls, and there’s nothing quite like driving along the Strip or towards the Sphere towering above you.”

“While the race is a spectacle for everyone attending and watching at home, it’s one where I know I need to perform and extract the maximum from the car and myself. I’ve been working with the team, and I feel São Paulo was much more competitive than what we were able to show.”
