Ferrari announces UniCredit as its new financial partner, replacing Santander in 2025, marking a significant brand shift.
Ferrari has announced that Italian banking group UniCredit will become a sponsor of its Formula 1 team starting from the beginning of the 2025 season.
The team, based in Maranello, disclosed ahead of the Italian Grand Prix that its commercial agreement with Santander would conclude after the 2024 season.
Since 2021, the Santander logo has adorned Ferrari’s single-seaters, racing suits, and caps, reigniting a previous partnership between the entities that existed from 2010 to 2017.
However, Santander, which has also sponsored McLaren in the past, will not extend its agreement with Ferrari beyond 2024, coinciding with Carlos Sainz’s departure.
Nevertheless, Ferrari was quick to secure a replacement sponsor as it revealed it would commence a multi-year collaboration with UniCredit.
“Ferrari announces that as of January 1, 2025, UniCredit S.p.A. will partner with Ferrari S.p.A., its wholly-owned subsidiary, to support its Formula 1 racing activities under a multi-year agreement,” reads Ferrari’s statement.
Ferrari has not disclosed to what extent the UniCredit brand will be featured in F1 compared to Santander’s previous placement.
