Yuki Tsunoda aims to extend RB F1’s impressive form in Shanghai, chasing points in this weekend’s Sprint.
Yuki Tsunoda is eager to experience the Shanghai circuit in his RB F1 car. The Japanese driver is looking forward to the Sprint format this weekend, and he is curious to see how the Chinese Grand Prix will unfold.
“It’s a unique circuit, especially turn 1 and turn 2. It looks futuristic from the outside and I can’t wait to hit the track,” Tsunoda stated. “Each weekend, I start from scratch, but we’ve had good races, we’re in good form with the team, but it’s a Sprint format.”
Tsunoda will discover Shanghai this weekend, and he wants to quickly get up to speed. Despite difficult conditions, lack of preparation, and the performance of his car, the Japanese still aims to score points.
“It’s a new circuit, I have to get used to it myself and with the car. It won’t be easy but I will do my best. I hope we can score points. During the Sprint, it’s the top 8 so it won’t be easy, but I’ll do my best.”
