Tsunoda Eyes Points After Miami Qualifying Disappointment

After a challenging qualifying session, Yuki Tsunoda is determined to secure valuable points in Sunday’s Miami Grand Prix race.

Yuki Tsunoda secured the 10th spot in qualifying at the Miami Grand Prix, marking his third consecutive Q3 appearance. While it’s a positive outcome following a disappointing Sprint qualifying, the Japanese driver had hoped for more in Florida.

“I made some progress, but I’m not sure. I’m happy to get into Q3 again. We had the Sprint Qualifying before, and ahead of SQ1, we wanted to rebalance the car and adjust the settings, but we couldn’t. I was hoping for better than 10th place, so I’m a bit mixed,” Tsunoda commented.

Despite his slight disappointment with qualifying, Tsunoda is focused on delivering a strong performance in the race. After an impressive recovery from last to ninth during the Sprint, which was later upgraded to sixth after penalties, he’s optimistic about his chances for points in the main event.

“I’ll do my best. The good news is that I managed to score points today. The pace wasn’t great in FP1, but the car is different now, and I think I can get the most out of it during the race when it matters. If I can score as many points as possible, it will be great,” Tsunoda added.

With his eyes set on a solid finish, Tsunoda remains determined to maximize his performance on Sunday.
