Stroll Doubts Aston Martin’s Points Hopes in Miami

Alonso aims to leverage his Miami knowledge, while Stroll expresses concerns over Aston Martin’s chances of scoring points this weekend.

Fernando Alonso is looking to capitalize on his experience and knowledge of the Miami Grand Prix circuit to quickly get into the rhythm, especially with the upcoming Sprint race in mind. The Aston Martin F1 driver believes the six rookies racing here for the first time this year will face more challenges navigating the track.

“Miami is one of the best Grands Prix, if not the best. The facilities, the paddock, and the track raise the level for everyone. It will be a tough weekend in terms of competitiveness. The Sprint could help us on Friday, so we’ll prepare and do our best,” Alonso shared.

“The Sprint weekend is an opportunity for us. We know some circuits well, and with rookies on the grid, we’ll try to make the most of that. However, Miami has been a tough race for us in recent years, so we might face some difficulties, but we stay positive and will aim to do our best.”

Lance Stroll is happy to be back in Miami, even though he is frustrated by Aston Martin’s struggles early in the season: “So far, everything is going well. It’s always great to return to Miami, there’s sunshine, time to enjoy the beach – everything’s good.”

“However, I think we’re in a tough spot. We’re not where we want to be or at the level we need to be compared to our rivals. Scoring points this weekend will be difficult, but we’ll do our best.”
