Stake F1 bids farewell to Bottas and Zhou while focusing on laying the groundwork for a competitive future in 2025.
Stake F1 had hoped for a better result in the season’s final race after scoring four points in Qatar. Unfortunately, Guanyu Zhou finished 13th, while Valtteri Bottas, despite achieving his best qualifying of the year, retired after two collisions.
“The Abu Dhabi race was eventful and brought an end to a challenging season, with only four points scored over 24 races,” said team representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi.
“The most significant moment came before the race, as we bid farewell to Guanyu and Valtteri after three years together, during which they made valuable contributions and supported us through tough times.”
“Valtteri gave his all but was unlucky with two incidents: one with Pérez on the first lap, which required a front wing change and resulted in a penalty, and another with Magnussen on lap 30, which damaged the suspension and forced his retirement. It’s not the ending we had hoped for, but we celebrate his incredible efforts and wish him the best for the future.”
“Guanyu delivered a solid race, recovering from a false start and a penalty to finish 13th thanks to strong pace and a well-executed strategy. We also wish him great success in his next chapter.”
Stake now looks ahead to next year with Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto. Alunni Bravi also extended congratulations to the champions: “We want to thank everyone at Hinwil, trackside, and Ferrari for their hard work this season.”
“Congratulations to McLaren on their well-deserved Constructors’ Championship title, a testament to perseverance and inspiring teamwork. Our focus now shifts to the off-season as we work to build a strong foundation for 2025 and beyond.”
