Stake F1 Endures Lacklustre Performance in Miami

07/05/2024

Stake F1’s underwhelming weekend in Miami underscores ongoing challenges, as team efforts fall short.

The Stake F1 drivers had little to expect from the Miami Grand Prix after both were eliminated in Q1. Following an unremarkable race, Guanyu Zhou finished 14th and Valtteri Bottas 16th. Team representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi acknowledges some disappointment.

“The team tried everything to secure a good result in Miami: this was evident in our tire compound selection and the various strategies we deployed to give Valtteri and Guanyu that extra bit of performance we lacked all weekend,” laments the Italian.

“We were able to make progress and fight in the midfield, but unfortunately, we lacked that extra edge needed to break into the top 10. It was a challenging weekend for the team.”

“We now need to regroup as we start the European season in Imola. We will have improvements to aid our quest for points. Although the first quarter of the season has yielded no points, no one is losing motivation.”

However, the team remains hopeful for a turnaround: “Miami showed us that anything can happen: we just need to work even harder to make the most of every opportunity.”
