Rosberg: Norris Needs Psych Help to Handle Title Fight

Nico Rosberg advises Lando Norris to seek mental coaching support to improve performance and boost his Formula 1 title chances.

Nico Rosberg has urged Lando Norris to work with a sports psychologist for the remainder of the season.

Norris has at times been extremely critical of his own performances in 2025 and admits he relates to the mental health challenges F1 drivers can face.

But, rather strangely, he is currently not working with a specialist to help him deal with the challenge of a potential world title fight.

Rosberg believes he should be working with a mental coach to overcome his struggles and maintain strong title prospects.

“Everything went perfectly for him in qualifying up until Q3. He was leading until the final run, and then it was just a small mistake in every corner, every corner taken too tightly, every corner too wide on exit, with a snap on exit all the way through the lap.”

“Wow! I was shocked. That’s a very clear sign in my opinion because I’ve been through that. From my perspective, he needs to work on his mental game.”

“We all spend hours and hours training our bodies, and I don’t know if Lando has a mental coach or if he’s working with a psychologist. I don’t think so, from what I’ve been told.”

“He absolutely should, because working with a coach is incredibly valuable. It helped me a lot to understand and find the best possible approach.”

“During my title-winning season, it was two hours every other day before the season and into the spring — it was huge.”

“It was tougher than physical training itself. It was incredibly difficult, but so valuable.”
