Alpine F1’s strong year-end recovery secured sixth place, setting the stage for renewed confidence and momentum heading into 2025.
Alpine F1 narrowly avoided disaster this year, securing sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship, as in 2023. Team principal Oliver Oakes praised a second half of the season that allowed them to stabilize the situation.
“It’s a great achievement to finish the year in sixth place,” said the Briton. “The team’s turnaround during the second half of the season was incredible, showcasing the hard work and determination of everyone at Enstone and Viry-Châtillon.”
“The team never gave up and stayed focused on the ultimate goal, which allows us to approach 2025 with confidence and momentum,” Oakes added, reflecting on the performances of Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan this Sunday.
“Pierre delivered a superb race, doing everything we expected of him. He’s been at the top of his game recently, producing another high-level performance to keep Nico [Hülkenberg] at bay.”
“Jack also had a solid day, showing promising pace and matching his direct competitors on similar strategies. It was excellent preparation for next year.”
“Congratulations to Haas and RB F1, who were strong this year and kept the battle exciting to the very end. Hats off to McLaren for their Constructors’ title. They’ve been the benchmark this season and fully deserve it.”
