Red Bull returns to Austin, with Verstappen and Pérez eager to improve performance and relive past successes at the U.S. Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen is ready to get back into action in Austin after a four-week break. The Red Bull driver is once again hoping for strong results in the United States, and he will unveil a special helmet paying tribute to the three cities of the American Grands Prix.
“We’ve had a few weeks off, which allowed us to refocus and work hard on our performance ahead of the U.S. Grand Prix. We’ve made some adjustments to the car to better suit this track, and we’ll see if it makes us more competitive,” said Verstappen.
“This week will be another exciting Sprint race, with a lot happening throughout the weekend. Austin is a really cool city, and the atmosphere at the circuit is unlike anywhere else.”
“For this race, I’ll be wearing my U.S. helmet again, which is a tribute to the passionate fans here and features the skyline of the three American cities we race in. We have a lot of great memories here, so we’re excited to be back and race this week.”
Sergio Pérez has been recharging at home during this second four-week break, but admits he misses the competition: “It feels like we’ve spent a lot of time away from the track! It’s nice to be back and heading to one of our favorite races of the season.”
“This race is special for me. Everyone says I have so many home races, but Austin is always one of them, and the support is really great. I’ve been training hard in Mexico and staying in regular contact with the team in the UK.”
“We hope to arrive in Austin in a better position with the car. We’ve made some changes during the break aimed at improving the pace, and we’ll see how competitive we are in Austin.”
“The fact that it’s a Sprint race makes things a bit trickier, as we only have one practice session to set up the car before the race, but that’s where teamwork comes into play, and it’s something we excel at.”
