McLaren F1 is set to dazzle with a new livery in Singapore, as Piastri targets another victory.
After RB F1 and Mercedes, McLaren will unveil a new livery this weekend in Singapore.
The teaser (see video ) displays what appears to be an Austrian flag in black and white, with the phrases “reimagine the icons” and “the rebirth of legends.”
Therefore, it’s conceivable that, like Ayrton Senna’s colors in Monaco, the MCL38s might feature the red and white of Niki Lauda, although this is purely speculative at this point.
On track, the team aims to remain the only one capable of performing on all terrains, and it’s the first race they approach as leaders of the constructors’ championship, as Lando Norris reminds us.
“It’s good to go into this race knowing we are currently first in the constructors’ championship. The team has done and continues to do an excellent job. We know we must keep working hard and achieving consistent results,” notes the Briton.
“I’m looking forward to being in Singapore this weekend. It’s a great country to visit and it’s cool to race under the lights. The circuit can be challenging because of the humidity, but I’ve had good results here in the past and feel well-prepared, so it should be another fun race.”
Oscar Piastri hopes to follow up on a good weekend after his win in Singapore: “After an incredible weekend during which I secured my second Grand Prix victory, I’m ready to go again in Singapore. It’s a shorter circuit but incredibly demanding for the drivers.”
“We have a good pace in the team, and now we need to continue adding as many points as possible. Last year, we scored some interesting points in Singapore. With a more competitive car, we should be able to fight. I hope we can keep up our momentum.”
Andrea Stella, McLaren’s director, sets cautious goals: “After a successful weekend in Baku, we are heading to another urban circuit in Singapore. It’s one of the most physically demanding races due to the high humidity. The team is prepared for such tricky conditions and aims for another good points weekend.”
