Max Verstappen misses Thursday media duties in Miami as he prepares to welcome his first child with partner Kelly Piquet.
Verstappen will miss Thursday’s media day at the Miami Grand Prix, and it’s for a very special reason.
The three-time world champion is about to become a father. Verstappen and his partner, Kelly Piquet, are expecting their first child together.
Red Bull Racing confirmed the news earlier today, saying, “Max will not attend media day in Miami as he is expecting a baby.”
The team reassured fans that everything is going smoothly. “He will be back on track tomorrow for the race weekend.”
Out of respect for Verstappen’s privacy, Red Bull added that no further comments would be made for now.
As always, you can follow the full media day coverage, including driver press conferences, this evening on Nextgen-Auto.com. Coverage starts around 6:30 PM.
