Haas driver Oliver Bearman has been handed a 5-second penalty following the Miami Grand Prix sprint.
Race officials reviewed both video footage and onboard camera views from Bearman’s car. They determined that he was released into the path of Nico Hülkenberg, who was approaching the fast lane near the pit entry. This forced the German driver to brake sharply and perform an evasive maneuver to avoid a collision.
As a result, Bearman loses the point he had earned for Haas F1, dropping from 8th to 14th place.
The penalty benefits Yuki Tsunoda, who moves up from 9th to 8th, earning a point for Red Bull.
