Famin commends Alpine’s strides, boosting Ocon’s performance at Spa-Francorchamps ahead of his departure.
Bruno Famin, who led Alpine F1 for his final race in Belgium this weekend, expressed satisfaction with the two points secured by Esteban Ocon. The Frenchman acknowledged the progress made by the French team since the start of the year, beginning with a last-row qualification in the season’s opener in Bahrain.
“We conclude the first half of the season with two crucial points at Spa. It was a challenging race, filled with key decisions on settings and strategy. Considering where we started at the beginning of the season and where we are now, we have made significant progress,” Famin stated.
“The 2024 season has been tumultuous so far, but we have delved deep into our resources as a team to correct and substantially enhance our car’s performance,” he continued, before noting that the A524 will undergo further evolution.
“We introduced a significant development at Spa and more are being prepared for the remainder of the year. We will continue to build and learn, and we look forward to entering this well-deserved summer break.”
