Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are primed for the Australian GP, aiming for strong performances and fan engagement in Melbourne.

Lando Norris is looking forward to the season’s opening race with anticipation. The McLaren F1 driver aims to build on a strong start to the season and continue improving to achieve a positive result in front of a particularly cherished audience.

“I’m eager to return to the Australian Grand Prix. It’s a fun circuit, and the Australian fans are always very enthusiastic; it’s a fantastic atmosphere for racing,” Norris stated.

“Last week, I was back at the factory with my engineers reviewing the first two races of the season before the Grand Prix in Melbourne. We’ll apply everything we’ve learned this weekend and aim to secure a few more points for the team.”

Oscar Piastri, being a local from Melbourne, is excited about his second home race: “My home race! I’m thrilled about racing in front of my home crowd again. There’s no better feeling than that. It’s going to be an incredible week, and I’m sure the atmosphere will be amazing.”

“We’ve had a positive start, finishing fourth in Saudi Arabia. Last week, I was back at the MTC reviewing all the data to see where we can maximize our performance. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of papaya in the crowd this weekend!”

Andrea Stella, McLaren’s team principal, is also confident in his team’s ability to deliver a strong result in Melbourne: “We’re coming off the first double-header of the season with good points and strong performances on track from Lando and Oscar.”

“It’s crucial that we keep this momentum while focusing on areas we still need to develop, to be in a position to fight for podiums. Melbourne is always a fantastic place, and it’s also Oscar’s race. I’m sure many fans will show their support for him and the team this weekend. We’re hoping to return with more points.”
