Nico Hülkenberg commends Haas F1 for their consistent and competitive performance, expressing satisfaction with his results.
Nico Hülkenberg has high hopes for this weekend at the British Grand Prix. The Haas F1 driver is having a strong season, with numerous good results, including his best last Sunday in Austria with a sixth place. The German has a positive assessment of his season so far.
“If I look back, there isn’t much that we’ve left behind. We’ve been in the points four times, and five times just on the edge in 11th place, so I am happy with my consistency and what I am able to extract from the car,” Hülkenberg stated. “I want to continue; we are much more competitive than last year and in a much better situation.”
Hülkenberg made a notable replacement in 2020 with Racing Point, stepping in for Sergio Pérez, who was infected with Covid-19, and managed to qualify third. However, he recalls having other great memories at Silverstone and wants to add to that with his current good form.
“The momentum from last week yes, and it’s in my top five favourite circuits. It’s fast and rhythmic. I have plenty of good memories here, from the time I was a substitute, but even before when I was with Force India, so I’m looking forward to racing here.”
