McLaren F1 unveils a special livery in Singapore, celebrating its iconic MP4 era, spanning 1981 to 1996.

McLaren Racing unveiled its special livery for Singapore, created in partnership with its sponsor OKX, a leader in onchain technology (see video below).

The Legend Reborn livery on the MCL38 celebrates McLaren’s iconic MP4 era from 1981 to 1996, which featured a renowned tobacco sponsor.

“The MP4 series is widely regarded as one of the greatest F1 cars ever made and embodies the spirit of true innovation, a trait cherished by both brands. The livery merges the MP4 era with McLaren’s signature papaya to honor the team’s legacy.”

The Legend Reborn livery was revealed at a track event in Singapore with McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown, McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, and OKX Marketing Director Haider Rafique.

The livery also pays tribute to McLaren legends including Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, and Niki Lauda, who drove and helped craft the iconic history of the MP4, with the names of 13 iconic drivers from the era integrated around the cockpit.

The Legend Reborn follows the Senna tribute livery – “McLaren SENNA presented by OKX” – seen at this year’s earlier Monaco Grand Prix.

Louise McEwen, Director of Marketing at McLaren Racing, said: “It’s fantastic to have our third special livery in Singapore with OKX. Legend Reborn is a great way to celebrate and honor our iconic history in a way that unites both old and new fans. Following this year’s Senna campaign, this livery further embodies our partnership with OKX as we continue to offer unique campaigns to McLaren fans and OKX customers around the world.”
