Isack Hadjar is rapidly emerging as one of F1’s brightest talents, with Dr. Helmut Marko predicting a big future for the young driver.
Hadjar is being hailed as a true star of the future in Formula 1, according to Dr. Helmut Marko, Red Bull’s senior advisor.
Liam Lawson started the season as Max Verstappen’s teammate in the senior team, but struggled so much that after just two races, he was replaced by Yuki Tsunoda, who moved over from Racing Bulls.
Marko has made it clear that Tsunoda will definitely remain behind the wheel of the sister car through the end of the 2025 season. He is even betting on the Japanese driver to score points this weekend in Bahrain. “He showed in Suzuka that he has the speed. Now he needs to minimize his mistakes.”
However, Marko also expressed how impressed he has been by the rookie, 20-year-old Franco-Algerian driver Isack Hadjar.
“With Hadjar, big things are on the horizon,” he said.
“Hadjar is the surprise of the season. He has the least amount of F1 testing mileage, yet he is consistently performing at the same level as (Kimi) Antonelli and his Mercedes F1 car.”
“He’s calm and always present. He was four-tenths faster than Lawson in free practice. He’s a strong guy who promises a bright future.”
Hadjar’s talent has clearly caught the eye of one of F1’s most respected figures, and it looks like the young driver is ready to make a major impact in the years to come.
