Marko F1 Seat Shuffle on Hold Until 2025

Marko Confirms: No F1 Driver Changes in 2024

31/07/2024

Marko has declared no F1 seat changes until 2025, keeping current drivers in place for now.

Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez can breathe a sigh of relief this week, as Red Bull has decided not to change its Formula 1 driver pairings after the summer break.

No official communication has been made by Red Bull Racing and RB F1, only information provided to employees.

Today, Dr. Helmut Marko confirms that everything will remain the same until the end of the season.

“Perez stays,” confirmed the F1 consultant for the brand, after his meeting with Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner in Milton Keynes.

“We want to bring him back to his former shape. Ricciardo stays as well. Nothing will change this season.”

Regarding Perez, Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, Perez’s main backer, is said to have made his voice heard, as has the owner of F1, Liberty Media, which was reportedly concerned about attendance at the Mexican GP.

2025, however, could be a different story.

“The cards will be reshuffled for 2025,” asserts Marko.

Indeed, it is believed that Liam Lawson has been promised a seat with Red Bull or RB F1 for 2025, otherwise, the New Zealander will be free to sign with another team like Audi F1.
