Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc secured P3 in Saudi Arabia, proud of his race but clear the car still needs serious gains.
Charles Leclerc secured his first podium of the season with a solid third-place finish at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, a result the Ferrari driver described as a “very proud” moment — even if he’s still chasing more speed in qualifying.
“We didn’t manage to get the most out of the car in qualifying,” Leclerc admitted. “But I’m really happy with the race. We maximized everything today. I’m proud of what we achieved, though we still need to keep improving the car.”
The race also gave fans a glimpse into the cool dynamic between Leclerc and his race engineer, Bryan Bozzi — with their radio exchanges drawing attention for their calm tone despite the high-pressure situation.
“Bryan was super relaxed, way calmer than I was in the car!” Leclerc joked. “We’ve built a great relationship, and that’s really starting to show on track. I’m really happy about that.”
Leclerc was candid about his surprise at finishing on the podium in Jeddah, especially after coming into the weekend with modest expectations.
“Honestly, I didn’t see that coming. I had to fight to keep my position, but I’m really satisfied with how it turned out.”
Looking ahead, the Monegasque is counting on upcoming upgrades to help Ferrari close the gap to the front-runners.
“We’ve got to keep pushing flat out. We’re expecting some updates on the SF-25 soon, and that should help us move closer to the top.”
