After just two races in 2025, Liam Lawson loses his Red Bull seat to Yuki Tsunoda and heads back to Racing Bulls.
Liam Lawson has broken his silence following Red Bull Racing’s decision to drop him after just two races in the 2025 season.
The announcement, made earlier today, confirmed that Yuki Tsunoda will take over the second Red Bull seat, sending the young New Zealander back to Racing Bulls—just months after stepping away from the team at the end of last season in Abu Dhabi.
Lawson shared an emotional message on social media, and while he kept his words measured, the disappointment was unmistakable.
“Driving for Red Bull Racing has been my dream since I was a kid. It’s what I’ve worked my whole life for.”
“It’s tough, no doubt. But I’m grateful for every step that’s brought me here. To everyone who’s supported me—thank you, it truly means the world.”
He also extended his appreciation to the Racing Bulls team for welcoming him back:
“Thank you to Racing Bulls for the warm welcome. I’m motivated, I’m ready, and I’m excited to be back with one of my favorite teams.”
While the move might feel like a setback, Lawson’s response shows maturity—and a quiet determination to prove that his story in F1 is far from over.
