Nico Hülkenberg is confident that Haas F1 can still make strides forward with the upgrades introduced on the VF-24 in Austin. The German driver hopes the new components on his car will help the American team shine on home soil and push for sixth place in the Visa Cash App RB.
“We’ll see tomorrow how they perform. I’m optimistic; this year, whenever we’ve brought upgrades, they’ve delivered as we expected, so I’m hopeful it will go well,” Hülkenberg stated.
“It’s crucial for the remainder of the season, with six races left, that we put everything on the table. I’m very motivated and hungry for results, so we’re going to give it our all to achieve that.”
“The feeling within the team is very positive. We’ve had some strong races, performed well in the midfield, and we want to maintain that momentum. We’re motivated to aim for sixth place, and I love this circuit. This part of the season is my favourite, and I’m keen to score points.”
When asked about the partnership between Haas and Toyota Gazoo Racing, Hülkenberg, who will be driving for Audi in 2025, remained cautious: “Time will tell. It’s hard to predict, but it’s positive to have a solid partner financially and with resources. Haas will be a serious contender in the midfield; to what extent, we’ll see.”
