Christian Horner quashes rumors about Max Verstappen’s future, insisting the star driver will stay at Red Bull until at least 2026.

Will Max Verstappen leave Red Bull at the end of the season? For Christian Horner, the team principal, it’s nothing more than noise and rumors.

As speculation grows, especially around the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah, the British team boss took the opportunity to reaffirm that he expects Verstappen to remain with Red Bull through 2026, despite concerns from Dr. Helmut Marko.

Rumors suggest Verstappen could potentially move to Mercedes F1 or Aston Martin, but Horner quickly shut these down.

“I think the term ‘noise’ is very appropriate here,” Horner said. “There’s been a lot of chatter, both outside and within the team. But Max confirmed his commitment yesterday.”

“Our focus is on the car’s performance; that’s our top priority, and Max is an integral part of that. Everything else is just speculation.”

Horner also addressed Marko’s concerns.

“Helmut is free to share his opinions, but Max is not a concern for us as long as we can address the situation. That’s also what Max has said, so that’s where our focus should be.”

“We need to sort the car, and this shouldn’t become a topic of debate. We had two very different emotions in Japan: the win, and of course, last weekend in Bahrain, which was a challenge.”

“We’re trying different things this weekend, and this first practice session was about fine-tuning some setups.”

“We have a lot of data to go through. We’ve also run both cars slightly differently, so now we need to analyze all that information.”
