Red Bull Racing confirms the end of the Horner investigation, finding no evidence of misconduct, thus maintaining his directorial position.
The Horner case, as it has been referred to for several weeks now, is drawing to a close. Red Bull has issued a statement confirming that the investigation into its director, Christian Horner, did not reveal any “inappropriate behavior” that the inquiry was initiated to investigate.
Horner was the subject of an external investigation at Red Bull Racing over alleged inappropriate behavior, the specifics of which were not disclosed. The team maintained him in his position throughout the investigation, but the duration of the inquiry was beginning to frustrate key team members.
Horner’s Investigation Ends, Red Bull Confirms
Max Verstappen had twice called for a swift resolution, while Ford and its CEO were growing increasingly irritated by the lack of transparency and efficiency surrounding the investigation. With the investigation now concluded, it has been confirmed that the British national remains the director of Red Bull Racing.
“The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr. Horner has concluded, and Red Bull can confirm that the complaint has been dismissed,” reveals Red Bull GmbH’s statement. “The complainant has the right to appeal. Red Bull is confident that the investigation was fair, thorough, and impartial.”
“The investigation report is confidential and contains private information about the parties and third parties involved in the investigation, which is why we will not make any further comments out of respect for all those concerned. Red Bull will continue to strive to maintain the highest standards in the workplace.”
It remains to be seen whether the individual who filed the complaint will appeal, and whether the investigation and its findings will satisfy Red Bull’s partners, starting with Ford, which sought transparent and comprehensive elements.
