Hamilton's Bold Vow Destroy All for 8th Title

Hamilton’s Farewell Fury: Eyeing 8th Glory

04/04/2024

In a fiery statement, Lewis Hamilton vows to annihilate competitors in his final Mercedes season before joining Ferrari, targeting an 8th world championship.

Lewis Hamilton has issued a stark warning to his Formula 1 rivals, stating his determination to “destroy all other teams” in pursuit of his much-awaited 8th world title.

Hamilton is currently in his final F1 season with Mercedes before making a switch to Ferrari next year.

The seven-time world champion has achieved unprecedented success with the Brackley-based team, clinching six titles from 2014 to 2020.

However, Mercedes has fallen behind in the pecking order following the introduction of new technical regulations in 2022, with Hamilton’s last race win dating back over two years.

Ahead of the Japanese GP at Suzuka, Hamilton asserted he isn’t disheartened by his current slump in results.

“I’ve proven through actions everything I’ve ever wanted to achieve.”

“I do it every year. Win a world championship. Break records. So, I have other plans for the future.”

When asked if his strong desire to win influenced his move to Ferrari, Hamilton said, “Yes. I think it’s perhaps a more subconscious manifestation from earlier in my life.”

“But it’s always been there for me. For now, though, my focus is on elevating Mercedes as high as possible this year.”

Hamilton aims to make a significant impact and finish strong before joining Ferrari.

“The way I’m approaching this final year, I don’t see it as a transition or farewell year.”

“My commitment to the team is exactly the same as previous years: I want to destroy all other teams.”

“We want to beat them. My approach remains the same till the end.”

“And I can’t let my mind be too distracted by what happens next. Anyway, I won’t really be able to enjoy it until next year.”
