Hamilton’s Bold Strategy Lands Him Third in Miami Sprint

Hamilton’s daring pit stop strategy led him to an unexpected third place finish in Miami, turning a challenging race into a triumph.

Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton secured a surprising third place finish in the F1 Sprint at Miami, after making a bold strategy call. As the track dried, Hamilton opted to pit earlier than his competitors, giving him the advantage of warmer tires for the second half of the race and propelling him up to third.

“I’m so happy! It’s been a tough season so far, and I didn’t expect it to rain in Miami! It’s the first time we’ve raced in the rain here, and what a race it turned out to be!” Hamilton shared with excitement.

After struggling during the first stint on intermediate tires—where he complained that his car “wasn’t turning”—the British driver managed to turn things around by pitting earlier than those ahead of him, moving from sixth to third place.

“I had a tough time with the intermediate tires, I think everyone did. Towards the end, I decided I had to pit because I wasn’t making any progress. I took that risk and made the bet! Kudos to McLaren,” Hamilton added.
